The sunflowers here are backlit by the sun as it was approaching the horizon. This was August in northern Maine Aroostook County.

I am new to Pixels and Fine Art America. My background is quite varied. I am originally from Maine. My early creative endeavors started with drawing or painting. In my early teens I learned to play guitar and write music. I performed professionally over many years. That love never leaves you, by the way.
