This is the westerly view from Ravens Nest on Schoodic Peninsula on the mainland of Down East Maine. Cadillac Mountain on Mount Desert Island can be seen on the horizon. The image was captured mid-afternoon on September 16.

I am new to Pixels and Fine Art America. My background is quite varied. I am originally from Maine. My early creative endeavors started with drawing or painting. In my early teens I learned to play guitar and write music. I performed professionally over many years. That love never leaves you, by the way. During the times that I was on the road, I picked up photography. It was a way to keep the visuals alive and to explore the different settings that I found myself in. Nature and landscapes provided much calm and inspiration.
