This is the view of Mt. Katahdin in Northern Maine as seen from the Abol Foot Bridge that crosses over the West Branch of the Penobscot River during early June. Katahdin is the northern goal of people who hike the Appalachian Trail beginning in Georgia.

I am new to Pixels and Fine Art America. My background is quite varied. I am originally from Maine. My early creative endeavors started with drawing or painting. In my early teens I learned to play guitar and write music. I performed professionally over many years. That love never leaves you, by the way. During the times that I was on the road, I picked up photography. It was a way to keep the visuals alive and to explore the different settings that I found myself in.
