This sunset shows Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State Park as viewed from Abol Bridge on the Golden Road in Northern Maine. Abol Bridge Campground is on the right. This is on the West Branch of the Penobscot River. Local time was 7:27 PM during mid-August.
I am new to Pixels and Fine Art America. My background is quite varied. I am originally from Maine. My early creative endeavors started with drawing or painting. In my early teens I learned to play guitar and write music. I performed professionally over many years. That love never leaves you, by the way. During the times that I was on the road, I picked up photography. It was a way to keep the visuals alive and to explore the different settings that I found myself in. Nature and landscapes provided much calm and inspiration.
