This was a late June sunset on Lake Wassookeag. This image was interesting largely because of the unique shape of the tree and its branches. They look as if they are reaching for, or holding the sun. This is a very peaceful scene.

I am new to Pixels and Fine Art America. My background is quite varied. I am originally from Maine. My early creative endeavors started with drawing or painting. In my early teens I learned to play guitar and write music. I performed professionally over many years. That love never leaves you, by the way. During the times that I was on the road, I picked up photography. It was a way to keep the visuals alive and to explore the different settings that I found myself in. Nature and landscapes provided much calm and inspiration.
