Artist's Description
This image was captured while on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine. It had rained all morning then cleared in the mid-afternoon. As it approached sunset time, a thick could bank moved in and the wind picked up quite a bit. I had to hold on to my tripod to try and keep it steady. I was waiting and hoping that the sun would break through a thin space below the clouds before it set. Finally, it showed its face. Eagle Lake, also within the park, is seen below.

I am new to Pixels and Fine Art America. My background is quite varied. I am originally from Maine. My early creative endeavors started with drawing or painting. In my early teens I learned to play guitar and write music. I performed professionally over many years. That love never leaves you, by the way. During the times that I was on the road, I picked up photography. It was a way to keep the visuals alive and to explore the different settings that I found myself in. Nature and landscapes provided much calm and inspiration. I moved to Florida for about 15 years where I learned the print and graphics trade, free-lanced in graphics and photography, and worked for some cruise lines including the Official Cruise Line of Disney World...
