This image was captured while on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park in Maine. There had been lots of rain early in the day but it cleared for a short while in the afternoon. As it approached late afternoon, a large bank of clouds moved in on the western side. The wind began blowing really hard. I had to old onto my tripod. There was a narrow section between the clouds and the horizon so I waited, hoping that the sun would shine through before it set and before I got too wet. It finally broke through. I am new to Pixels and Fine Art America. My background is quite varied. I am originally from Maine. My early creative endeavors started with drawing or painting. In my early teens I learned to play guitar and write music. I performed professionally over many years. That love never leaves you, by the way.
