This experience, watching a sunrise from Cadillac Mountain, is what many people come here for. At certain times of year, it is the first place on American soil that receives the rays from the sunrise. The time was 4:55 AM on July 13.

I am new to Pixels and Fine Art America. My background is quite varied. I am originally from Maine. My early creative endeavors started with drawing or painting. In my early teens I learned to play guitar and write music. I performed professionally over many years. That love never leaves you, by the way. During the times that I was on the road, I picked up photography. It was a way to keep the visuals alive and to explore the different settings that I found myself in.
