This is a gorgeous October sunrise seen from the shore of Abol Pond in Baxter State Park located in Northern Maine. It almost makes one want to sit down, close our eyes, and breathe in the crisp morning air.
I am new to Pixels and Fine Art America. My background is quite varied. I am originally from Maine. My early creative endeavors started with drawing or painting. In my early teens I learned to play guitar and write music. I performed professionally over many years. That love never leaves you, by the way. During the times that I was on the road, I picked up photography. It was a way to keep the visuals alive and to explore the different settings that I found myself in. Nature and landscapes provided much calm and inspiration. I moved to Florida for about 15 years where I learned the print and graphics trade, free-lanced in graphics and photography, and worked for some cruise lines including the Official Cruise Line of Disney World...
