The mountains in the distance are on Mount Desert Island off the southern coast of Maine. The tallest is Cadillac Mountain. All are within Acadia National Park. Bar Harbor is at the shoreside of this large island. The mountains are rounded due to the extremely large glaciers that moved across this land many thousands of years ago. In the water is a lobster boat.

I am new to Pixels and Fine Art America. My background is quite varied. I am originally from Maine. My early creative endeavors started with drawing or painting. In my early teens I learned to play guitar and write music. I performed professionally over many years. That love never leaves you, by the way. During the times that I was on the road, I picked up photography. It was a way to keep the visuals alive and to explore the different settings that I found myself in. Nature and landscapes provided much calm and inspiration.
