Description
The mountains in the distance are in Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island in Maine. The highest one is Cadillac Mountain. Immediately to the left is Dorr Mountain. Their rounded shape is due to several glaciers that moved across the land many thousands of years ago, some glaciers were as high as 2 miles and stretched out-to-sea as far as 400 miles. This image was taken on June 2 shortly after sunrise from the mainland. Bar Harbor can be seen in the distance along the shore.
